Job summary

South32 is seeking a Superintendent Mining Systems & Improvement to lead the Mine Monitoring and Control function from a FIFO base, with relocation to Darwin or Cairns. You will optimise safety, production, equipment utilisation and operational performance while partnering with Mining, Planning, Maintenance and Technical Services to deliver the mine plan and budget.

Qualifications

• Formal tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related discipline.
• Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement qualification.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mine Monitoring and Control function to optimise safety, production and performance.
• Drive data analytics to identify trends, constraints and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver operational improvement projects from identification through benefit verification.
• Maintain standards, procedures and data integrity across the operation.
