Job summary

Globe 24-7 is partnering with a growing resources organisation to appoint a Safety & Emergency Services Advisor to support a major construction project in Western Australia.

This site-based role blends hands-on safety support with active emergency response, approximately 70% safety and 30% emergency duties, with an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will work with site leadership, contractors and cross-functional teams to maintain high safety standards and rapid response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue / Mines Rescue.
• Emergency healthcare qualification.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.
• Minimum 3 years' experience across mines rescue, emergency response and/or healthcare.
• Experience within mining, construction, heavy industrial or resources environments.
• Exposure to workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations and safety systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical safety advice and coaching to supervisors, employees and contractors.
• Support compliance with WHS legislation, site standards and project safety requirements.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings, safety meetings and risk reviews.
• Support contractor safety and workforce engagement.
• Promote proactive hazard identification and risk management.
• Support emergency preparedness and maintaining site response capability.
• Respond to medical emergencies and site emergency events.
• Facilitate emergency response exercises, drills and simulations.
• Assist with reviewing and testing emergency response plans and procedures.
