Job summary

Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is seeking a Safety Advisor to support the Operational Safety team on a fixed-term basis through to March 2027. The role spans open pit, processing plant, construction projects and Bing Bong port, delivering coaching, guidance and practical safety support to promote a strong safety culture.

The role requires ability to drive compliance with legislation and Glencore standards, while partnering with leaders to advance continuous improvement on our Safety

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the site's Safety and Health Management System.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Analyse safety performance data and prepare meaningful reports and insights.
• Conduct workplace safety observations, inspections and audits.
• Provide safety coaching, advice and support to leaders and employees.
• Facilitate safety presentations, training sessions and awareness initiatives.
• Maintain and improve safety documentation to ensure alignment with legislation and industry best practice requirements.
• Monitor compliance with Glencore Health and Safety standards and applicable legislation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to site safety initiatives.
