Job summary

Mills Oakley is seeking a Solicitor to join our Queensland Mining and Resources team. You will work on a diverse mix of transactional and regulatory matters for mining and resources clients across all commodities, under the guidance of recognised leaders in the field.

You will be admitted in Queensland with 3+ years PQE, experienced in mining and resources law, including exploration, development and production approvals, and hands-on M&A.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in mining and resources law.
• Experience with exploration, development and production approvals.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on mining and resources approvals across the project lifecycle.
• Assist clients with tenure, environmental authorities, native title and land access matters.
• Support mining and resources M&A, including due diligence, transaction documents and completion.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including joint ventures, offtake and royalty arrangements.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
