Job summary

Golding Contractors is seeking Production Mine Operators to join our team at Kogan Creek Mine, near Chinchilla, Queensland. This permanent full-time role includes a 4-year contract extension secured through to June 2030.

You will operate production equipment in open-cut coal with a strong emphasis on safety, site compliance and operational excellence. Current Standard 11, a valid driver licence and Coal Board Medical are required, along with pre-employment medicals and drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safe work practices and site compliance.
• Proven experience operating production equipment in open-cut coal.
• Current Standard 11 and a valid driver licence.
• Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing.
• Current training transcripts.
• Trainer & Assessor qualifications/experience preferred.
• Experience in pit dewatering is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment on open-cut coal operations.
• Maintain safety and site compliance.
• Support day and night shift rosters.
• Contribute to long-term project security through to 2030.
• Assist maintenance and equipment readiness.

We’re looking for operators experienced on one or more of the following:

• Strong commitment to safe work practices and site compliance
• Proven experience operating production equipment in an open-cut coal environment
• Current Standard 11
• Current Driver Licence
