Iluka Balranald Operations in Balranald, NSW, is seeking a hands-on specialist to support the commissioning and start-up of new equipment and processes. You will join a dynamic team at operational readiness through to production, driving system integration and performance improvements.

Responsibilities include plant inspections, monitoring performance, operating fixed and mobile plant, and ensuring adherence to safety and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Similar experience in a mining or processing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
• Flexible approach to take on tasks.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, the environment and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work autonomously and engage cohesively with teams.
• Front-end-loader, skid steer, Forklift, EWP license desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid C Class driver’s license essential.

Responsabilités

• Undertake regular plant inspections, complete check sheets, and risk and hazard assessments to ensure a safe environment
• Continually monitor plant performance, identifying and addressing abnormalities to maintain optimal operation
• Operate fixed and mobile plant in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and safe work instructions
• Fill and load reagent apparatus as required
• Sample process streams, report and correct any production variances
• Undertake all dewatering activities and operate fine tailings injection infrastructure, including dredges
