Job summary

Tronox is seeking a proactive Mining Coordinator for the Wonnerup Mine Site in Western Australia. This permanent, full-time role oversees mining, earthmoving and rehabilitation activities to deliver safe, efficient operations in line with the mine plan and regulatory requirements.

The position requires a strong focus on safety, experience in mining and the ability to coordinate contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• The highest regard for safe work practices.
• Experience in a similar role in the mining industry.
• Registered Quarry Manager ticket is preferred, but not essential.
• Exposure and experience using SAP is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite supervision of earthmoving and haulage operations, ensuring work matches the mine plan and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct daily quarry inspections and report hazards, defects and non-conformances with timely corrective actions.
• Manage tailings storage facilities (TSFs), haul roads, access roads and related infrastructure for safe, reliable operations.
• Supervise bulk haulage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specs.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity and costs to ensure work is safe, on schedule and within budget.
• Direct earthmoving activities to achieve rehabilitation targets and support landform development.
• Contribute to work plans for overburden, ore civil works, rehabilitation and landform objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental requirements and mining regulations.
• Liaise with Mining, Production, Maintenance, SHEQ and Technical Services to coordinate activities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for safety, productivity and cost efficiency.
