Job summary

Workfast is seeking qualified Plant Mechanics and Mechanical Fitters for a mining operation in Muswellbrook. You will work across fixed plant and heavy processing infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of site equipment within a safety-first team environment.

The role focuses on heavy plant maintenance, fault-finding, and corrective actions, with a rotating 12-hour day/night roster and a commitment to zero-harm safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps and gearboxes.
• Fault-finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Execute planned shutdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on equipment condition.
