Job summary

Glencore is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer for Clermont Open Cut's Maintenance & Engineering Department onsite in Queensland. You will identify reliability issues, develop maintenance tactics, and work with stakeholders to support asset management for mobile fleet and CHF on site.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years in mining or heavy industry, SAP experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2+ years experience within mining/heavy industry
• Mobile Equipment reliability experience desirable
• Experience in maintenance management system (SAP) is essential
• Root Cause Analysis facilitation will be highly regarded
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Strong communication skills
• QLD Drivers Licence

Responsibilities

• Analyse asset performance data to identify reliability issues and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement targeted solutions
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to justify maintenance projects that enhance asset health and reliability
• Liaise with OEMs to review product improvements and ensure timely action where required
• Support the development and implementation of the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) as it applies to mechanical engineering
• Demonstrate visible leadership to promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Provide expert technical guidance to maintenance planning and execution teams
• Mentor and develop graduate engineers and vacation students, fostering their technical and professional growth
