Job summary

SRG Global is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Western Australia, delivering a diverse portfolio of contingent mining projects. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday opportunity offering the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of NPI, civil and infrastructure projects supporting some of Australia’s leading mining operations.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in contractor engineering
• Strong communication and people skills
• Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
• Ability to adapt and react to change and plan accordingly
• Experience in mechanical & electrical, NPI and Civil Earthworks projects desirable
• Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate QA/QC testing activities and prepare project documentation.
• Offer technical advice and support to the project delivery team.
• Inspect project activities to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specs and QSE standards.
• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing construction, operations or maintenance at site.
• Guide surveying tasks to establish reference points and elevations.
• Collaborate to assess quantities and costs of materials, equipment and labor.
• Resolve issues via TQs or RFIs following approved processes.
• Perform quality audits and improve identified shortcomings.
• Supervise construction, operations or maintenance activities as directed.
• Maintain project controls and registers as directed.
• Direct or participate in surveying activities for accurate construction.
• Monitor procurement to meet commercial and quality objectives.
• Undertake project administration tasks including timesheets and reports.
