Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR generalist to join a mining operation on a hands-on, site-based role. In a 9-day fortnight, with camp accommodation and meals provided, you will support day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, performance management and HR administration.

The role welcomes candidates from other sectors with strong HR experience; mining exposure is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
• Sound understanding of state and federal employment legislation, HR policies and workplace processes.
• Experience in mining or a similar operational environment is desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday or SAP would be advantageous.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination, onboarding and associated documentation.
• Support performance management processes, including coordinating performance reviews and documenting records.
• Prepare, maintain and manage HR documentation, employee records and general HR administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate Graduate and Apprenticeship programs, supporting recruitment, development and program administration.
• Provide timely HR support to leaders across employee relations, industrial relations and general people management matters.
• Collaborate with Senior HR Coordinator and HR Manager on day-to-day HR operations and process improvements.
