Job summary

Alcoa Australia seeks a Health & Safety Manager for WA Mining to lead safety strategy and governance across Huntly and Willowdale. Based on-site, you will partner with senior leaders to drive safe outcomes, build capability and ensure health and safety systems are effectively implemented.

You will coach on emergency response, contractor management and site security while leading multidisciplinary teams and championing a culture where everyone goes home safe every day.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior health and safety leadership within mining or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk-based H&S management, audits, inspections and investigations.
• Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety Management or related discipline; strong governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the health and safety strategy and systems across Huntly and Willowdale mines.
• Partner with senior leaders to drive safe outcomes and capability building.
• Provide expert coaching on emergency response, contractor management and site security.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and govern incident prevention, audits and investigations.
• Champion a culture where everyone goes home safe every day.
