Job summary

Alcoa Australia is seeking a Contractor Management Manager to shape the contractor operating model across Huntly and Willowdale mining operations. You will own the full lifecycle: strategy, sourcing, prequalification, mobilisation, performance review, renewal and close-out, balancing safety, risk, and commercial value.

This enterprise-level role requires influencing across Operations, HSE, Procurement, HR and Finance, translating data into practical action and sustained improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading contractor management in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong safety leadership and stakeholder influence.
• Commercially savvy across contract lifecycle including scope, performance, variations and cost.
• Governance, risk and assurance experience with scorecards and audits.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with frontline teams and senior leaders.
• Data-driven leader using performance analytics to drive improvements and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractor management strategy and governance across WA Mining.
• Oversee end-to-end contractor lifecycle from sourcing to demobilisation.
• Strengthen contractor safety, risk and assurance performance.
• Drive KPI frameworks, scorecards and cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Procurement, HR and Finance.
• Coach contract owners and contractor partners for continuous improvement.
