Zusammenfassung

Thiess is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Peak Downs, Moranbah, QLD. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will support the operation, strengthen engagement, and embed the site's Safety and Health Management System into daily practice.

You will build relationships with frontline teams, coach leaders, manage incidents and support risk-based conversations to improve safety outcomes across the operation.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & Safety or equivalent
• Experience in a health and safety advisory role within open-cut mining or high-risk operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage at all levels
• Coaching mindset to have constructive safety conversations in the field
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and incident investigation
• Tertiary qualifications in health and safety or willingness to develop
• Strong computer literacy and reporting/records management abilities
• Collaborative approach with strong problem-solving skills and prioritisation

Aufgaben

• Build positive relationships with frontline teams, supervisors and leaders
• Coach and mentor leaders and crews to identify hazards and implement controls
• Guide incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
• Support field leadership activities, inspections and risk-based conversations
• Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes
• Maintain safety records, reports and action tracking
• Promote a safe and respectful workplace and site requirements
