Mineral Resources Limited is seeking a mining geologist to provide essential geological support at the Wodgina Lithium Operation. You will ensure precise ore control, data collection, and interpretation to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.

You’ll work within the Mine Technical Services team, collaborating with mining engineers and surveyors to integrate geological models into daily mine plans for efficient production outcomes. This 8D6X roster role is FIFO from Perth, WA.

Qualificações

• Tertiary level education in Geology or Geoscience or a relevant discipline.
• Experience in open pit production mining; hard rock is desirable.
• Understanding of grade control, mapping and resource estimation.
• Proficient in Surpac, GCX and Vulcan software.
• Experience with data management software (Datashed or similar).
• QA/QC reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking mining geologist to provide essential geological support to Wodgina Lithium Operation—ensuring precise ore control, accurate data collection, and insightful interpretation to maximise recovery and minimise dilution. You’ll work as part of the Mine Technical Services team, closely collaborating with mining engineers and surveyors to ensure geological models are seamlessly integrated into daily mine plans, driving efficient and effective production outcomes.

This position will commence on an 8D6X roster, FIFO from Perth.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform daily ore control and grade monitoring activities.
• Conduct geological mapping and logging.
• Develop blast hole sampling plans to inform the grade control model.
• Interpret geological data and update 3D models in line with operational requirements.
• Liaise with mine planning and production teams to guide ore extraction.
• Maintain geological databases, including QA/QC checks and analysis.
• Conduct geological model reconciliation and end-of-month processes.

What is required?

• Tertiary level education in Geology, Geoscience or relevant discipline
• Experienceworking within a open pit production mining environment. Hard rock experience is highly desirable.
• Understanding of grade control processes (RC-GC highly desirable), geological mapping, resource estimation and mining and milling processes.
• Proficient in Surpac + GCX + Vulcan Software
• Acquire, Datashed, or similar database management software experience
• QA/QC reporting skills
