Job summary

Sandvik Mining in Bendigo, VIC is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, service and diagnose fire suppression systems on mining equipment. Based from Bendigo, regular travel across the state and into NSW will be required to support local contracts.

The role operates on a 9-day fortnight roster with premiums for weekend work and remote travel. Training is provided, including green and gold card certification to enhance skills and safety compliance.

Qualifications

FPA accreditation is desirable.
Valid Driver’s License is compulsory.
Prior trade experience is a must.
Service experience with Mobile Fire Suppression systems is an advantage.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Flexible to align with customer requirements, procedures and safety policies.
Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
High attention to detail and safety focus.

Responsibilities

Perform fault diagnosis, maintain, and install Fire Suppression systems.
Identify faults in the electrical and mechanical configurations of mobile suppression systems.
Maintain inspection test reports and documentation.
Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.
Adhere to EHS policies and procedures; work in team or autonomously.
Assist with machine audits/inspections.
