Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions in Virginia, QLD is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to join our on-site manufacturing team. This hands-on role focuses on building fire suppression systems and components, supporting customer safety and operational excellence.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment, complete assembly orders, test systems, and ensure high quality while complying with EHS policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes.
• Current Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.
• Proficient with workplace systems and basic computer skills.
• Good manual dexterity and physical fitness.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete assembly orders per work orders.
• Assemble and test fire suppression systems and components.
• Pick and pack installation kits for customer needs.
• Close out work orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor inventory levels for common assemblies.
• Safely operate forklifts and lifting devices.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures and EHS requirements.
• Collaborate with team to meet customer and operational goals.
