Job summary
Sandvik Mining in Bendigo is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, service and diagnose fire suppression systems on mining equipment from Bendigo with travel across Victoria and into NSW. The role operates on a 9-day roster with premium allowances for weekends and remote travel.
You will receive training through green and gold card certification, working in a safety-focused environment with opportunities for development and a comprehensive benefits program.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification in mechanical trades is required.
- FPA accreditation is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license is required and pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol test will apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform fault diagnosis, maintain, and install Fire Suppression systems.
- Identify faults in the electrical and mechanical configuration of various mobile suppression systems.
- Maintain inspection test reports and documentation.
- Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.
- Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies.
- Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously.
- Assist with machine audits/inspections.
