Job summary

Macmahon is seeking an experienced excavator operator to join our production crews at Greenbushes. You’ll work with 250+ tonne equipment within a skilled team to meet daily production targets on site.

You’ll operate Hitachi EX2600/EX3600 in a mining environment, uphold safety standards, report hazards, and participate in safety meetings while supporting a positive, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators in a mining environment.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Strong team mindset and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of large excavator equipment.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
• Maintain a tidy work area and support safe interactions with all teams.
• Contribute to our people-first culture and live our Winning Values.
• Attend and participate in PSI and safety meetings.
• Complete Mac 5’s and be involved in the development of JSEA’s when required.
• Ensure individual compliance with all relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, Macmahon and Client instructions, policies, procedures and practices.
