Job summary

NEPEAN Conveyors NSW is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our design and manufacturing team in NSW. Based in Gulgong or Unanderra, the role blends engineering knowledge with customer-facing sales to deliver mining and materials handling solutions.

You will build relationships with key accounts, prepare cost estimates, tender submissions, and support project delivery from concept to fabrication. A tertiary qualification in Engineering and familiarity with heavy industry fabrication and

Qualifications

• Tertiary or trade qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of heavy industry fabrication, machining and fitting processes.
• Mining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts.
• Assist in developing technical solutions at tender stage for fast turnaround.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication and machining jobs.
• Liaise with workshop supervisors, engineers and suppliers.
• Source and obtain quotes for materials and subcontract work.
• Prepare quotations and tender submissions.
• Analyse project risks and profitability.
• Achieve sales targets by developing new business with clients.
• Assist in sales budget and strategy.
• Monitor market trends through client contacts and industry seminars.
• Recommend product or design variations based on field intelligence.
