Job summary

NEPEAN Conveyors is a leading provider of fully engineered turnkey conveyor and material handling solutions to mining companies, with operations across Australia and internationally. We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator / Labourer to join the Slade Point, Mackay QLD workshop and warehouse team.

You will safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes, receive and dispatch goods, maintain inventory, and provide workshop support for assembly, maintenance, and refurbishment of mining equipment.

Qualifications

• Current Driver's Licence
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating forklifts
• Prior experience operating overhead cranes
• Previous stores, warehouse, or workshop experience within mining, manufacturing, engineering, or materials handling industries
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to perform manual handling and physical work
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable work ethic with a willingness to support multiple areas of the business

Established in 1985, NEPEAN Conveyors manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation services for conveyor installations.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Labourer to join our team in Slade Point, Mackay QLD.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for safely operating forklifts and overhead cranes, receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining inventory, and providing workshop support for the assembly, maintenance, and refurbishment of mining and materials handling equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong forklift experience who enjoys working in a busy workshop and warehouse environment while contributing to the successful delivery of projects for the mining industry.

You are a dependable and motivated team player who takes pride in working safely and maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping.
