Job summary

Peabody is seeking high-calibre Multi Skilled Production Operators for Wilpinjong Mine, located near Mudgee, NSW. You will operate multiple heavy pieces of mining equipment and contribute to safe, productive operations that meet production and cost targets.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you’ll work in a lifestyle roster with day and night shifts, focusing on safety, teamwork and operational efficiency to support a leading coal production operation in the region.

Job description

Our Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut coal mining operation located in the western coalfields of New South Wales, approximately 40–50 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, near the village of Wollar. Wilpinjong produces high-quality thermal coal for domestic and export energy markets and is one of Peabody’s most productive, lowest-cost operations.

About the role:

As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking high-calibre Multi Skilled Production Operators who have extensive experience operating at least 2 of the following: graders, loaders, dozers, large excavators We are seeking outstanding individuals with a strong focus on safety and the relevant experience and leadership capability to join the Peabody team.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, these positions are responsible for operating heavy mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve realistic production and cost targets.

We're looking for safety-focused, motivated Multi-Skilled Operators ready to join a high-performing operation where their contribution truly matters.

Our mine uses the below mechanical equipment to mine:

• Trucks: CAT 789, CAT793
• Graders: CAT 16M/H, 24M
• Dozers: CAT D10 and D11T/R
• Excavators: Liebherr 9250, 9350, 9400 and Hitachi 5500
