Job summary

Evolution Mining’s Northparkes Operations invites a Mineralogy Technician to join our specialist laboratory team. You’ll prepare samples for XRD and SEM and support mineralogical testing to inform metallurgy, mine planning and operational decisions.

You’ll receive extensive training and work with a dedicated team, applying safe, high-quality lab practices and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives as the E22 Underground Project advances.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory, mineral processing or sample preparation environments.
• Knowledge of sample preparation techniques such as crushing, splitting, milling or pulverising.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.

What’s the opportunity?

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Australia’s few specialist Mineralogy Laboratories and develop highly sought after technical expertise in advanced mineralogical analysis.

As our Mineralogy Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting mineralogical testing and analysis across the Northparkes operation. Working closely with an experienced team, you’ll prepare samples for cutting edge technologies including X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), helping generate insights that support metallurgy, mine planning, geology and operational decision making.

Whether you’re already working in a laboratory environment or have strong sample preparation experience and are looking to build specialised skills, this role offers extensive training and development within a supportive team environment.

Reporting to the Senior Mineralogist, you’ll:
