Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations is seeking an experienced Mine Technician – Mine Systems to join our WA team. The role focuses on maintaining the integrity of Mine Systems, including fleet management, radios, and related hardware, in a demanding mining environment.

You will install, commission and maintain communications and precision guidance systems, support databases and reporting, and contribute to a safety-focused, high-performance operation with strong on-site facilities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining and fault finding radio communications equipment and fleet management systems.
• Experience in configuration and programming of communication devices.
• Aptitude for learning technical material and detail oriented.
• Understanding of Microwave PTP, PTMP based radio and antennae systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain VHF/UHF communications and fleet management hardware/software.
• Install and commission High Precision Machine Guidance and Fleet Management Systems.
• Install and maintain microwave and WiFi mesh systems and applications.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe equipment.
• Assist with mining databases and reporting.
• Manage inventory for fleet management system parts.

Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Mine Technician – Mine Systems to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all Mine Systems by performing maintenance and repairs of fleet management, voice radios and associated systems hardware.

You will be responsible for:

• Installing and maintaining VHF/UHF communications and mobile fleet management system hardware and software
• Installing and commissioning of High Precision Machine Guidance Systems and Fleet Management Systems
• Installing and maintaining point to point microwave and WiFi mesh systems and associated applications
• Preventative maintenance through regular inspections to ensure equipment meets safe working requirements
• Assisting with mining databases and reporting
• Maintaining communication and Fleet Management System parts inventory

About You

This role would suit a technically minded person looking for a new opportunity within a mining setting where no two days are the same.

You will also have:
