Job summary
Glencore Australia is seeking a Mine Systems Technician to provide support and field maintenance for operational technology systems at McArthur River Mine. The role spans across communications, fleet management, water monitoring, fatigue monitoring, and other OT functions to boost safety, efficiency and productivity.
You will work on fault finding, network maintenance, system installation, and preventive measures within a challenging mining environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Certificate III in communications or another relevant electrical discipline.
- Experience with operational technologies in mining environments is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking and ELV systems is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on mine tech systems and equipment.
- Complete maintenance of communications networks across the mine site.
- Install systems and perform ongoing maintenance on fleet management technologies.
- Implement preventive measures and generate condition reports during routine maintenance of Fleet Machinery and Fixed Plant.
- Install and maintain instrumentation such as flow meters, level transducers, and pressure sensors.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise VHF infrastructure.
