Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations, a Glencore Australia site in Western Australia, seeks a technically minded electrician to provide maintenance support for electrical systems across our mining and processing operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, compliant work practices on a remote site.

Candidates should hold a WA Electricians licence and relevant HV qualifications, with at least two years’ industrial/mining experience.

Qualifications

• WA Electricians licence
• High Voltage Operators certificate
• Hazardous Area Maintenance training (optional if outside Plant)
• Supervised Gas Fitter training (optional if outside Plant)
• High Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform/Forklift
• WA C class drivers’ licence
• Minimum 2 years electrical experience in industrial/mining environment
• Experience on remote mine site preferred
• Experience in BoreField ops, submersible pumps and VSDs, instrumentation, flow meters and telemetry

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled preventative electrical maintenance to keep operations running smoothly
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical breakdowns with timely follow-up
• Carry out isolations and prepare electrical equipment for maintenance work
• Communicate maintenance priorities during shift handovers
• Maintain tools, PPE, and equipment to high standards per guidelines
• Uphold housekeeping standards across electrical work areas and workshops
• Work in compliance with permit-to-work system and safety procedures
