Cummins Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our on-site team at Meandu Mine, Queensland. This resident mine site role supports diagnosing and repairing Cummins products and keeping a large powered fleet operational.

The position follows a 7 on/7 off roster with 12-hour shifts, day shift only, reporting to the Toowoomba Manager. Local residency is preferred; Cummins laptop and phone will be provided along with training.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III or equivelant).
• Basic level field service work experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of High Horsepower engine products; Cummins HP experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and follow all safety procedures.
• Willingness to support Cummins and site requirements in maintaining the fleet of Haul trucks, Diggers and auxiliary equipment.

Responsabilités

• Keep the Cummins powered fleet running to ensure optimum efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Communicate faults or improvements between Cummins Toowoomba and the site.
• Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner and address needs promptly.
• Use specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs.
• Provide preventative maintenance and coach on basic repairs by customer staff.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior On Site Technicians or Supervisor.
• Complete service worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims accurately.
