Compass Group Pty Limited in Central Queensland is hiring a Mine Site Cleaning Supervisor to lead and supervise 2–10 cleaners across remote mining facilities.

The role involves ensuring cleaning standards, safety briefings, training, and reporting to management. It requires coordination with village management and site stakeholders and includes 12-hour shifts on a 7x7 roster, with FIFO/DIDO options from select locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a mine site supervisory role
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills (All Microsoft applications including Outlook calendar)
• Available on 7x7 roster – subject to change due to site/roster and overtime
• Reliable transport and back-up
• Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test

Responsibilities

• Supervision of 2 to 10 cleaners and reporting to upper-level management
• Cleaning and presentation of mine site facilities (offices, crib huts, bath houses, locker rooms)
• Access and analyse information across client systems to monitor workforce compliance and site records
• Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety interactions
• Train and onboard new employees and mentor Team Leaders
• Complete workplace inspections and hazard identifications
• Investigate and report incidents and corrective actions
• Coordinate vehicle servicing and equipment testing
• Liaise with Village Management and site stakeholders for service improvements
• Work 10–12 hour shifts in varying Central Queensland weather
