Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. is seeking an Engineer Scheduling to deliver rolling 13-week plans for safe, efficient ore extraction.

The role is a permanent position on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shires. You will provide schedule guidance for mine design and execution, identify uplift opportunities, and communicate risks with cross-functional teams to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply constraints theory to mining decisions.
• Experience in underground operations and execution.
• Experience in underground mine planning and mine design.
• Collaboration across technical and operational teams.
• Ability to analyze performance data to support decisions.
• Strong communication, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rolling 13-week plans to support safe, efficient ore extraction.
• Assist with quarterly and yearly budget processes.
• Provide schedule guidance for mine design and execution decisions.
• Identify volume and grade uplift opportunities and drive actions.
• Communicate plan risks and mitigation actions; partner with teams to optimise outcomes.
