Job summary

Bravus Group is seeking a Senior Engineer - Mining to deliver end-to-end mine planning, scheduling, and production reporting. You will work with geology, survey and drill & blast teams to optimise outcomes while promoting safety and compliance on a large-scale operation.

The role requires a mining engineering degree, open-cut coal experience, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence in a demanding Queensland setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering preferred, Civil Engineering considered).
• Previous experience within an open cut coal mining environment.
• Strong mine planning and scheduling capability.
• Experience using Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or similar mining software.
• Current Standard 11 and Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop short, medium and long-term mine plans and schedules.
• Prepare mine designs and monitor adherence to plan.
• Provide technical advice and support to mine operations.
• Analyse mining methods and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Generate production reports and support progress claim reporting.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to ensure practical and achievable mine plans.
• Work closely with geology, survey and drill & blast teams to optimise mine outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Promote and demonstrate strong safety leadership and compliance with site standard.
