Job summary
Glencore Coal's United Wambo Joint Venture in the Hunter Valley, NSW, is seeking a Mining Engineer to develop and communicate mine plans, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or similar discipline (essential).
- Experience in open-cut mine planning, preferably in open-cut coal.
- Competent in mine planning software such as Spry, Vulcan and Deswik; proficient in MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Developing and communicating mine plans to assist in delivering the operation's strategic targets.
- Interacting with stakeholders to ensure compliance and deliverability of mine plans.
- Identifying barriers to achieving mine plans and implementing improvement strategies.
