Job summary

Foxleigh Mine is seeking a Mine Geologist to support safe, efficient operations and growth in Queensland. You will perform daily coal face inspections, communicate geological information to coalers and production teams, and contribute to planning and reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering with coal mining experience; roster is an 8/6 cycle, with accommodation provided and competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a coal mining environment, with exposure to in-pit through-seam coaling and production support.

Responsibilities

• In-Pit Geological Control & Communication: verify geology, identify variations, support the mining plan.
• Coaling Planning & Documentation: prepare blast-by-blast coaling plans with current geological data.
• Stockpile Management & Forecasting: monitor ROM and stockpiles, provide short-term forecasts.
• Geotechnical Delegation & Slope Management: report hazards and communicate recommendations to operations.
