Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Mine Foreman to lead safe, efficient underground operations at Peak Mine, NSW. You will supervise Underground Operators, ensure compliance with NSW mining legislation, and drive strong safety and production performance.

The role offers hands-on leadership, mentoring responsibilities, and a commitment to Aurelia's values of Care, Curiosity, Nimble, and One Team, with a 7/7 roster pattern and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' underground hard rock mining experience with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current NSW Metalliferous Underground Mine Supervisor Certificate of Competence/Practising Certificate is essential.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations, production processes, and safe work practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, operational excellence, and Values-driven culture.

About the role

Join our team as a Mine Foreman and lead safe, efficient underground mining operations. You'll supervise daily production activities, provide strong leadership to Underground Operators, and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures and NSW mining legislation.

• Roster: 7/7, 12 hours per day (Rotating Day/Night)

• Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel options

• Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance

• DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance

• FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and role model Aurelia's Values while fostering a safe, high‑performing, and collaborative team culture.

• Supervise and coordinate daily underground mining activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures and NSW mining legislation.

• Lead pre-start meetings, communicate production priorities, conduct safety inspections, and provide clear shift handovers to maintain operational continuity.

• Monitor production performance, allocate resources effectively, and address operational issues to achieve shift and weekly production targets.

• Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, productivity, and team performance while escalating operational risks as required.

• Support the development and wellbeing of Underground Operators through coaching, mentoring, and maintaining a positive team environment.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum 7 years' underground hard rock mining experience, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

• Current NSW Metalliferous Underground Mine Supervisor Certificate of Competence/Practising Certificate is essential.

• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.

• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations, production processes, and safe work practices.

• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, operational excellence, and fostering a positive, Values-driven team culture.
