Job summary

Whitehaven Coal Limited is seeking Electricians to join the Maules Creek Mine workshop maintenance team in NSW. You’ll maintain electrical systems across a growing mobile fleet, including Hitachi EH5000s and EH3500s, supported by Cat 789Ds.

This hands-on role suits those who enjoy troubleshooting within a supportive team. The position is 7/7, with accommodation or relocation assistance available, and an attractive wage with a bonus scheme and allowances.

Qualifications

• Proficiency Certificate in an electrical trade and/or Supervisor Certificate or Contractors Licence issued by Fair Trading NSW (or mutual recognised equivalent interstate electrical licence).
• Experience in mining, heavy industry or processing plant desirable.
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed and mobile equipment.
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative workshop maintenance team.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and electrical inspections across workshop equipment.
• Demonstrate visible safe working practices and a commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Work independently to complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks.
