Job summary

Yellow Iron Fleet is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team at the Atlas Campaspe Mine site in NSW. In this hands‑on role, you will service, repair and maintain heavy mobile plant equipment across mining and civil construction operations.

You will diagnose hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems, perform scheduled servicing, and work safely to meet environmental standards. A Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and a current HR licence are preferred.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent required.
Proven experience with heavy mobile plant equipment in mining or civil construction.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines and electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
Conduct breakdown repairs on haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders and rollers.
Inspect and test machinery to ensure operational readiness.
Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot issues and implement repair solutions.
Follow site safety procedures and company policies.
Ensure work meets environmental and safety standards.
Participate in safety meetings and risk assessments.
Operate and maintain workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
Perform field service work, including remote repairs.
