Job summary

Riverina Australia is seeking a Mill Worker to operate and maintain mill equipment, ensuring safe and efficient production of animal feed at the Murgon branch. You will report to the Production Manager and work with the team to meet targets while following quality control standards.

The role requires forklift experience, a current forklift license, and a Boiler Attendance Ticket or the ability to obtain one. Flexibility to work days, afternoons, and nights includes Saturdays and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing role, preferably within the feed, agriculture, or FMCG sector.
• Forklift license is required.
• Boiler Attendance Ticket or ability to obtain one.
• Must pass random drug and alcohol testing.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain high quality standards.
• Commitment, reliability and a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mill machinery and equipment, including crushers, mixers, pellet mills, conveyors, bagging machines and process control software.
• Report any quality or production issues to the Production Manager.
• Adhere to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets.
• Assist in loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
• Conduct regular quality checks on weight, pellet durability and moisture content.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow sanitation protocols.
• Participate in training on equipment operation, safety, and industry updates.

About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Mill Worker, where you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality animal feed products. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain mill equipment, ensuring efficient and safe processing and timely delivery of feed products. This role requires close collaboration with the production team to achieve production targets and adhere to stringent quality control standards. We are currently hiring for this critical position at our Murgonbranch, where you will be directly reporting to the Production Manager.

Your key responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor mill machinery and equipment, including crushers, mixers, pellet mills, conveyors, bagging machines, and process control software.
• Report any quality or production issues to the Production Manager as soon as identified.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
• Conduct regular quality checks, including weight measurements, pellet durability, and moisture content assessments.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to sanitation protocols.
• Engage in training sessions for equipment operation, safety protocols, and industry updates.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We're Looking For:
