JBS Australia Group is seeking an experienced Mill Foreperson to join the Prime City Feedlot leadership team in a full-time capacity. You will oversee feeding and milling operations, focusing on cattle nutrition and feed delivery to meet targets.

You will lead the milling and feeding team, manage inventory, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to ongoing training and performance improvements within a major Australian beef operation.

Qualifications

• Previous feedlot milling and feeding experience.
• Strong interest in animal nutrition, ration processing and feed delivery.
• Good record-keeping skills and confidence using computer-based systems.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work proactively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day feeding and milling operations with focus on cattle nutrition, feed allocation and delivery.
• Manage receipt, storage and inventory of feed commodities and ensure grain quality.
• Lead, engage and develop the milling and feeding team; monitor stocktakes and audits.
• Ensure feed is produced and delivered safely, accurately and in compliance with WHS, HR, QA and environmental requirements.

About the Role

The JBS Prime City Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Mill Foreperson to join our leadership team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will help oversee the day-to-day feeding and milling operations, with a strong focus on cattle nutrition, feed allocation and feed delivery to ensure operational targets are achieved. You will oversee the receival, storage and inventory management of feed commodities, ensure grain is processed to the required standards to support optimal cattle performance, and maintain accurate and timely commodity and ration data.

You will also play an important role in leading, engaging and developing the mill and feeding team, while monitoring inventory through regular stocktakes and audits. With feeding operations having a direct impact on cattle health, nutrition and performance, you will help ensure feed is produced and delivered safely, accurately and consistently, while maintaining compliance with JBS Australia’s WHS, HR, Quality Assurance, Animal Welfare and Environmental requirements.

Located 45km north-west of Griffith in southern NSW, the JBS Prime City Feedlot is a 35,000 head capacity feedlot and a major supplier to the JBS Riverina Beef processing facility. Employing approximately 35 team members, Prime City Feedlot has a strong reputation for producing premium quality grain-fed beef. The 6,225 ha of dryland and irrigation farm onsite at Prime City supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.
