Job summary

Aerotek is actively hiring for Weld Specialists and MIG Welders to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Redmond, WA. This 12-month contract role offers full-time hours with overtime opportunities and hands-on welding responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, can read blueprints, and is able to pass a welding skills assessment. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a production setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience or technical welding school training.
• Ability to pass a welding skills assessment.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow welding specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in a production manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components and weldments.
• Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and workstations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Verify weld size, length, and quality to meet specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed weldments using measurements and quality standards.
• Arrange and fit parts according to drawings, fixtures, and layouts.
• Support production goals while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
