Job summary

Laser 3D in Gepps Cross, SA, is seeking an experienced Welder for a full-time, on-site role. You will MIG weld a range of steel products and assemblies, interpreting drawings to meet tight tolerances, and coordinating with laser operators and production teams to hit daily targets.

Applicants should hold a trade qualification in Welding or related discipline and have strong MIG welding experience, with the ability to read fabrication plans and apply sheet metal knowledge.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Welding, fabrication or related discipline.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MIG welding on a variety of fabricated steel products and custom assemblies
• Interpret workshop drawings and specifications to accurately manufacture components to required tolerances
• Fabricate, assemble and finish products using mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Operate welding, fabrication and finishing equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer requirements
• Work closely with laser operators, folders and production teams to achieve daily production targets
• Maintain weld quality and consistency across high volume manufacturing runs
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workplace at all times
