SA Health's Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network offers a Registered Midwife or Clinical Midwife role within a small MGP team servicing Gawler birthing women. The position is multi-classed as RN/M1 or RN/M2C and based on qualifications and experience.

You will deliver person-centred care, mentor colleagues, and contribute to education within a supportive, collaborative environment. Working in a 32-hour-per-week roster across a 7-day pattern, you will join a dedicated team focused on

• Salary:
  • RN/M1 $79,381 to $108,311 p.a. adjusted to actual hours worked
  • RN/M2C $92,731 to $117,215 p.a. adjusted to actual hours worked
• 35% Midwifery Group Practice caseload allowance applies
• Ongoing, Part-Time (32 hours per week - worked over a 7 day roster)

This position is multi-classed as either RN/M1 or RN/M2C and the appointment classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

Join our team as a Registered Midwife or Clinical Midwife and make a real difference in patient care within a supportive, collaborative environment. Our Midwifery Group Practice works in a small team of 6 midwives to service Gawler birthing women in a MGP model. If you are passionate about providing person-centred clinical care through oversight of patient care plans, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients and clients every day, then look no further. You will play a vital role in supporting health service systems, assisting in planning, coordinating, and resolving care or service delivery challenges, while contributing to wider projects such as clinical protocols and process improvements. MGP midwives play a role on supporting students, new staff and colleagues, fostering a culture of learning, reflection, and professional development.

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing/midwifery care and case management, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based outcomes for patients and clients.
• Provide clinical leadership and coordination within the team/unit, overseeing care delivery, facilitating patient flow, and supporting multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Support operational and service improvement activities, including change management, problem solving, development of clinical protocols, and coordination of services across disciplines.
• Contribute to education, mentoring, and workforce development by supporting students, new staff, and less experienced clinicians through teaching, guidance, and professional development activities.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical auditing, research, and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical practice.
