Job summary

SA Health - Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in the Emergency Department to lead high-quality nursing and/or midwifery care, reflecting your experience and growth.

You will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, mentor staff, ensure safe patient flow, and contribute to education, audits, and quality improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing/midwifery care, including assessment, care planning, and coordination of admissions and discharges
• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership, overseeing care delivery within the team and supporting safe, effective patient flow
• Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in clinical, operational, and change management activities
• Contribute to education and mentoring by supporting students, new staff, and ongoing professional development within the team
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and research activities to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery

• Salary: RN/M2A $109,637 to $117,215 p.a. + penalties
• Multiple opportunities available (Full time and Part time, Temp and Ongoing)

As the Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in the Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services that reflect your experience and professional growth from competent to proficient practice. You’ll play a vital leadership role, supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in guiding and mentoring nursing and midwifery staff, while maintaining accountability for your own practice standards and the supervision of delegated activities.
