Cloudera seeks a Solutions Engineer to join our Sales Engineering team in Melbourne. You will leverage your technical depth and business acumen to translate customer needs into compelling architectures and outcomes that drive sales success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
• 10+ years of professional work experience in a similar position.
• Enterprise Software and Big Data experience.
• Strong Linux, Java/.NET, and SQL skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Generative AI space.
• Solution Architecture/Engineering as a field of practice.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Understanding data governance and security in the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Advise on customer use cases discovery and requirements workshops.
• Create and deliver customer-centric solution designs.
• Present roadmap, vision, proposed architectures and business outcomes to technical teams.
• Define technical selling approach for accounts.
• Collaborate with sales and solutions engineering management on plans.
• Understand the competitive landscape and technology ecosystem.
• Transform customer feedback into actionable product roadmap items.
• Mentor associates and contribute to enablement materials.
• Contribute to internal and external knowledge repositories.
