Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment partners with an established design & construct business delivering commercial fitout projects across workplace, retail, and hospitality sectors in Australia. The role involves leading client meetings, space planning, and coordinating design documentation from concept to construction.

You will work with a tight-knit team, supported by an in-house CAD Manager, and manage multiple projects with ArchiCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of interior design experience (commercial/workplace/fitout preferred).
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit is essential.
• Strong space planning and technical documentation skills.
• Experience delivering projects from concept to completion.
• Confident presenting to clients and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, design & construct environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

We have partnered with an established design & construct business specialising in commercial fitout projects across workplace, retail, and hospitality sectors. With a collaborative and hands-on team, they deliver end-to-end solutions from concept design through to construction and final handover, working closely with clients to achieve high-quality outcomes.

The Role

• Lead and attend client meetings, interpreting briefs into design solutions
• Prepare initial space planning and floorplans
• Develop look & feel concepts, including finishes, materials, and mood boards
• Produce and coordinate a full set of design documentation for construction
• Collaborate with internal project and delivery teams
• Manage multiple projects across commercial fitout sectors
• Contribute across all project phases from concept to completion

Skills & Experience
