Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor, based at our Brooklyn depot in Victoria, seek a Meter Technician to perform installation, testing and maintenance for metering systems and to rectify faults affecting customer installations.

Role requires relevant qualifications, current refresher training, and a valid construction induction card, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Hybrid options available per team needs.

  • Previous work experience as a Meter Technician.
  • Certificate or qualification in Electrotechnology related to metering.
  • Statement of Attainment for Competency Standard Units (compulsory).
  • Current Refresher Training records (compulsory).
  • Construction Induction Card (compulsory).
  • Car license (compulsory).

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Meter Technician to join our metering operations team, based at our Brooklyn depot.

As a Meter Technician, you will carry out all work relating to meter installation, testing and maintenance services, investigating and rectifying metering and communication faults, to both internal and external customers installations.

Using your ‘can-do’ attitude, approachable and personable disposition, you will strive to ensure that we meet company’s customer service objectives of providing a safe, reliable, timely and cost-effective supply of electricity and associated services.

This position is covered by the Powercor & CitiPower & CEPU Enterprise Agreement. The salary range for this role is Pay Point 12 ($115,072) – Pay Point 15 ($127,807) + 13% of super + allowances.

What you’ll need from day one
  • Previous work experience as a Meter Technician
  • Qualification or a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician; Metering Trade; or a recognised equivalent qualification
  • Statement of Attainment for Competency Standard Units (compulsory)
  • Current Refresher Training records (compulsory)
  • Construction Induction Card (compulsory)
  • Car license (compulsory)
