Core Resources, based in Brisbane, seeks a Laboratory Technician to support metallurgical testing and lab operations.
You will conduct testwork, ensure safety, and work with a team to meet project timelines in a dynamic laboratory environment.

This position will be offered as a full-time role on a 12 month contract or a permanent role for the right candidate. Opportunity available for a Senior role.
Reporting to the General Manager - Laboratory Operations, you will:
Uphold all safety systems and display a safety nature that takes precedence over all things. Actively participate in laboratory safety initiatives and meetings.
Conduct metallurgical testwork including sample preparation, comminution, flotation, leaching and other hydrometallurgical test work.
Work as part of a close-knit team to execute laboratory test work according to project schedules.
Contribute to general housekeeping tasks which include cleaning, waste disposal, sample administration, inventory stocktake and warehousing.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
Minimum of a Certificate III/IV in Laboratory Techniques or similar is required.
Minimum of 2+ years mineral processing/hydrometallurgical testwork experience is a must-have for the role. Similar experience in a commercial metallurgical laboratory will be highly regarded.
Hydrometallurgical testwork experience will be highly regarded.
A commitment to conducting all work safely in accordance with standard operating procedures.
A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
Ability to follow set test methods, procedures and instructions.
Experience working with hazardous chemicals and SDS.
Mechanical aptitude to fix and trouble shoot equipment; a working knowledge of using hand tools is important.
Intermediate level MS Excel proficiency required including functions for data entry and reporting.
Be willing to learn new things and contribute to all areas of the laboratory.
Ability to work shift work including afternoon and night shifts if required.
