Job summary

Job2Go Pty Ltd in Milton, Queensland is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator. You will read blueprints, measure materials, cut and weld components using MIG, TIG and arc welding, and assemble structures on site.

Ideal candidates hold AQF Certificate III in Sheet Metal Fabrication or equivalent, with at least three years’ experience, and a proven ability to work safely in a small team. On-site role with a competitive salary and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret construction/engineering blueprints.
• Accurately measure materials and estimate requirements.
• Weld metal parts together using MIG, TIG and arc welding.
• Cut, form and assemble metal components to precise lengths.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and installation.
• Measure, cut and prepare steel and metal components.
• Weld/mate metal parts using MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques.
• Assemble posts, frames, and brackets on-site or workshop.
• Install base plates, fixings, and structural elements to foundations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow procedures.
