JFH Konstrukt, a commercial construction and import services company, is seeking a full-time Metal Fabricator to work on commercial construction sites across Brisbane. The role involves marking off and fabricating structural steel, aluminium and other metal stock to make, modify and repair metal products and structures for commercial building projects.

You will read engineering/shop drawings, select and prepare metal stock, mark out, cut, shape and bend metal sections, align parts and join them

Competenze

• Minimum two years' experience in metal fabrication.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience leading a large team across multiple projects.

Mansioni

• Marking off and fabricating structural steel, aluminium and other metal stock.

Job Description

JFH Konstrukt JFH Konstrukt, a commercial construction and import services company, is seeking a full-time Metal Fabricator to work on commercial construction sites. The role involves marking off and fabricating structural steel, aluminium and other metal stock to make, modify and repair metal products and structures for commercial building projects. Duties include: Reading engineering and shop drawings and specifications Selecting and preparing metal stock Marking out, cutting, shaping and bending metal sections, plate and pipe Aligning parts and joining them by welding, bolting and riveting Inspecting welds and finishing completed work Modifying and repairing structural steel, balustrades, screens and frames to suit site conditions Setting up the work area on site for fabrication and installation works Coordinating the delivery, unloading, storage and handling of steel and aluminium materials and components on site Coordinating fabrication work with builders, site supervisors and other trades, and attending site meetings Leading and directing other workers on site, including allocating tasks and checking quality and safety

We are seeking a qualified metal worker with at least two years' experience in a similar role. The successful applicant must be able to work independently, take ownership of their work, apply industry-standard practices and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to contribute to a productive and safety-focused work environment.
