Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Australia’s Western Australia region seeks a hands-on Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker Welder) to join a dedicated trades team. This full-time role blends workshop fabrication with site maintenance, repairs and breakdown support across fixed and mobile plant equipment.

You’ll work in a safety-focused environment valuing reliability, practical skills and teamwork, with sponsorship available for qualified international candidates.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of full-time Metal Fabrication experience.
• Relevant Boilermaking and Welding experience.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• National Police Certificate.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Working at Heights certification less than 2 years old.
• Confined Space certification less than 2 years old.
• Valid Australian Driver Licence.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Measure and mark materials accurately before fabrication.
• Cut, bend, shape and prepare metal components.
• Complete welding and fabrication work to required standards.
• Carry out maintenance and repair work on plant and equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns when required.
• Perform site-based fabrication and maintenance activities.
• Complete workshop-based fabrication and assembly work.
• Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy.
• Operate fabrication machinery and tools safely.
• Carry out routine checks and maintenance of shop equipment.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
• Work collaboratively with tradespeople and site personnel.
