Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced coded welder in Western Australia. The role involves fabrication, fixed plant maintenance, repair work, shutdowns and breakdown support.

Candidates should have hands-on experience, be comfortable reading drawings and specifications, and maintain high workmanship standards.Key duties include coded welding across fixed plant projects, structural steel and pipe welding, and preventive maintenance. On-site work with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven industry experience as a Coded Welder.
• Demonstrated ability to pass a 6G weld test.
• Able to work from drawings and specifications to high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete coded welding and fabrication across fixed plant maintenance projects.
• Perform structural steel and pressure pipe welding, including 6G applications.
• Carry out repairs, modifications and replacement of damaged or worn components.
• Fabricate and repair piping, structural supports, tanks, chutes, hoppers and ductwork.
• Maintain and repair pumps, thickeners and other fixed plant equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
• Ensure completed welding and fabrication work meets required standards.
• Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Respond to breakdown maintenance requirements when required.
• Participate in planned shutdowns and campaign maintenance programs.
• Work across workshop and site-based maintenance environments.
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently and within project requirements.

Education

Cert III Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Trade qualification

Current Working at Heights certification

Current Confined Space certification

Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets obtained within the last 2 years
