White Industries in Dalby seeks an experienced Furnaceman/Furnace Operator to join our Melt shop. This full-time role offers a 38-hour week (Mon-Fri) with regular overtime and reports to the Melt shop Team Leader.

You will operate and maintain furnaces, prepare molten metal for casting, monitor temperatures, and ensure quality while upholding safety standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in foundry operations with induction furnace knowledge.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Cert III in Engineering highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain furnaces for metal melting and casting processes.
• Prepare molten metal for pouring into sand moulds.
• Maintain an organised and safe workspace, including equipment setup and charge preparation.
• Monitor temperatures, melting times and material quality.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
• Support production schedules to meet lead times and quality standards.

About the Role

As part of our Melt shop team, you’ll work within a dynamic manufacturing environment preparing molten metal for casting into sand moulds and maintaining furnace operations. This full-time, permanent position offers a38-hour week (Monday to Friday)withregular overtime opportunities.

You’ll report to theMelt shop Team Leaderand contribute to a team that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain furnaces for metal melting and casting processes
• Prepare molten metal for pouring into sand moulds
• Maintain an organised and safe workspace, including equipment setup and charge preparation
• Monitor temperatures, melting times and material quality
• Follow all White Industries safety and environmental procedures
• Support production schedules to meet lead times and quality standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

• Experience in foundry operations, withstrong induction furnace knowledge(essential).
• A high level of attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Commitment to following safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Cert III in Engineering(Moulder / Patternmaker / Coremaker / Metallurgist / Furnaceman / Pourer / Smelter) –highly regarded.
• Forklift and/or Dogman tickets–desirable.
